Grand Rapids is preparing to welcome the Foster Hope 5K & Fun Run this September, offering residents a chance to come together for a morning of movement, connection, and community support.
The event will raise funds for the Foster Hope Fund at the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation, which provides assistance to children and youth in the Greater Itasca area who have experienced foster care, including scholarships of up to $1,000.
Participants of all ages and activity levels are encouraged to join. Whether walking, running, or simply taking a relaxed stroll, the course is designed to be accessible for families and individuals alike. Children under 14 will be required to attend with a parent or legal guardian.
The two hour gathering will be held in person at the Itasca County Family YMCA. Community 5K events of this kind often use flyer printing to share registration details, race information, and event updates with participants.
The Foster Hope 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 from 10:00 am to noon at the Itasca County Family YMCA in Grand Rapids. Doors open at 9:00 am, giving attendees time to settle in before the activities begin. Free parking will be available on site. Registration is $30 for adults and free for under-18s. Additional details can be found through the event organizer’s website.
