The Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission has published its annual Saginaw Celebrates Summer guide, which features more than 175 events in June, July and August.
The guide is intended to encourage families to celebrate nature, the arts and the humanities throughout the summer. The events, which are organized by 17 partner organizations at 16 different venues in the Saginaw area, include art museum exhibits, tai chi lessons, concerts, art fairs and movie screenings. The full list is available on the Arts and Enrichment Commission’s website. Organizations often use graphic design experts to create this type of digital document.
Some of July’s featured events include a free concert at the Saginaw Art Museum on the 1st, a bonsai workshop at the Japanese Cultural Center on the 16th and a Christmas in July theme at the Downtown Saginaw Farmers Market on the 25th. The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History is hosting a series of interactive kids’ events, including a session on the history of toys and a fossil exhibit. The guide includes both free and paid events. It notes which events are free and provides information about purchasing tickets for those with a fee.
Saginaw Celebrates Summer events are taking place now through the end of August. Those interested in attending any of the programs or events should check with the organizers for information about tickets and registration.
