An event titled “Massaging The Mind” will take place in Crofton this March.
The event will introduce medical strategies that will transform practices and enhance self-care among massage therapists.
The workshop emphasizes a shift in perspective, from focusing solely on muscles and joints, to considering awareness, movement, and nervous system.
Attendees will be instructed to utilize massage methods to engage clients' minds, fostering increased awareness and body control. Additionally, participants will gain insights into medical techniques created by the late professor Thomas Hanna, designed to efficiently address chronic tension patterns, trauma, and pain.
Throughout the workshop, attendees will learn how to: approach work efficiently; encourage clients' active involvement in their recovery journey; stimulate clients' sensory and motor centers; apply medical techniques during massage sessions; utilize conventional massage therapy methods to enhance clients' body awareness and control; and incorporate straightforward personal care practices to support personal musculoskeletal health.
Attendees should note that this event is exclusively for licensed massage therapists with insurance for liability.
The cost to attend will be $179.10. Tickets can be bought through the organization’s online listing.

The event will take place at 2129 Baldwin Ave Suite 1 and 2, Crofton, Maryland. The date and time will be Sunday, March 3, starting at 9am.
