Cook and connect at Crofton fiesta

Authentic Mexican foods will be created in a special interactive cooking class next month near Crofton.

The Women’s Professional Network (WPN) of the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce is hosting Tacos and Margaritas: A Hands On Fiesta. It will be presented as a celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo annually marks Mexico’s 1862 victory over French forces in the Battle of Puebla. It is widely celebrated in the United States and has grown in popularity around the world in recognition of Mexican culture, food, and heritage.

Chef Kevin Devine of Crave Catering will lead the participants through a lesson in making handmade tortillas, grilled beef known as carne asada, a lively salsa and a chipotle lime cauliflower dish.

While learning new culinary skills, the student chefs will have the opportunity to mingle and celebrate while sipping on margaritas.

The fun evening will culminate with participants enjoying the festive Mexican meal they worked to create.

Business card printing services are key to self-promotion for members of groups such as the WPN who gather for this type of networking event.

Tacos and Margaritas: A Hands On Fiesta will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6 pm at Crave Catering Co. 827 Mayo Road in Edgewater, near Crofton. Registration and further information is available on the Crofton Chamber website.
