Strong support for National Night Out in Crofton
Crofton will join hundreds of towns and cities across the country next month in celebrating National Night Out.
This is an annual event designed to promote and improve the relationship between law enforcement and the community. In a relaxed atmosphere, residents can meet police and fire officials to learn more about their roles and the equipment they use.
Across the country and on military bases around the globe, people gather to celebrate first responders. Held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out can include parades, festivals and other community celebrations.
The free event is presented by the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce and the Anne Arundel County Police Western District. It will feature family games and activities as well as food provided by area restaurants. In the past, Crofton's National Night Out has attracted as many as 1500 residents.
Businesses can set up booth space but are only permitted to provide information about their products or services, offer a giveaway or raffle opportunity. No sales are permitted.
The Crofton event is made possible by the contributions of local sponsors, who can choose from a number of ways to support the campaign. Vendors who get involved in community events such as this often use poster printing to draw attention to their business.
National Night Out will be held from 6 to 8 pm on August 5, 2025 at the Crofton Country Club. It will take place rain or shine.
