Maryland Day events coming in March

Maryland has been celebrating its rich history on a special day every year since 1903, and as usual, series of events is being planned to honor the rich culture and heritage of the state.

The theme for the events this year is “Better Together” and there will be events at 20 different locations. Erik Evans, the Marketing Director behind the events, described them and “family-friendly events” exploring Maryland’s heritage, culture, and sense of diversity and inclusion.

People from Crofton who wish to attend these events in Anne Arundel County will pay a $1 admission fee. The organizers will have accommodations for in-person tours at culturally significant and historical sites all over Anne Arundel. Virtual tours will be available as well. Flyer printing can help with marketing local events like these.

A nautical theme was selected for the tours on the decks of the Pride of Baltimore II. This is a tall ship that will be docked at the City Dock. The Annapolis Maritime Museum will be hosting a challenge for building model boats. Tours of historic gardens and homes such as the Charles Carroll House and London Town and Gardens are also popular options among revelers at this event.

The events are scheduled for the weekend of March 19 to 21 for both virtual and in-person tours. The full list of events and their locations can be found on the event’s website.
