Crofton grads to shine in community parade

The Crofton High School Parent Teacher Student Organization is planning its 2025 Senior Car Parade to highlight this year’s graduates.

As their last year of high school education comes to a close, the seniors will receive the honor of having the community recognize their achievements.

It’s the third year for the fun celebratory parade, in which graduates are encouraged to don their cap and gown and put their school spirit into decorating their cars. Friends, family members and other spectators will line the route to cheer on the class of 2025.

The Crofton High school is relatively new, as it first opened in 2021 and marked its inaugural graduating class in 2023. For many years prior, Crofton students were split between high schools in the neighboring communities of Gambrills and Edgewater. The long wait for their own school, including delays due to the Covid 19 pandemic, has the potential to make celebrating its graduates all the more important to the community.

Participants and spectators in parades such as this frequently use printing services to create signs, posters and banners to add to the celebration.

The High School Senior Car Parade will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 10 am, starting on Urby Drive near Crofton Woods Elementary School. The inner loop route will take the grads along the Crofton Parkway and will finish at the Crofton Elementary School.
