A special action-packed day is planned in July which will focus on the youngsters of Crofton.
Kidz Festival is part of the community's 60th anniversary celebrations and features a range of free activities for children ages two to 14. At the event, kids can walk the circle to music in a traditional cakewalk, and organizers ensure there will be many sweet treats up for grabs.
The exciting day also includes a bike rodeo. Typically, bike rodeos include helmet and bike Checks as well as instruction for children on the safety aspects of cycling. Skills and rules of the road are presented in a fun but educational manner.
A sidewalk chalk coloring competition will award prizes to young budding artists. Chalk will be made available to the participants. The youngest children at the festival can enjoy the Touch a Truck display of large trucks and machinery.
First responders will be helping out with the festival. The Arundel Volunteer Fire Department will be selling barbecue beef, while Crofton Police members will be on hand to assist pedestrians and cyclists in crossing the Crofton Parkway which runs between the two festival sites.
Sponsors and organizers of festivals such as this frequently use local printers to provide banner printing to highlight activities and locations.
