Members of the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce will join business people from other cities and towns across the county at Legislative Day in nearby Annapolis.
Crofton is one of five Anne Arundel county Chamber organizations that are jointly presenting the event as an opportunity for members and guests to meet elected officials and mingle with area peers. The Crofton Chamber was created in 1989 with 13 original members and has grown to almost 300.
While in the state capital, the chamber representatives can arrange to attend private appointments with government representatives, choose to visit State or House legislative sessions as well as committee meetings, or sit in on a panel discussion on policy. The sessions are all intended to contribute to a member’s knowledge of how their business may be affected by state government legislation.
The county delegation will attend brunch with legislators at Governor Calvert House where a guest speaker will be featured. They may also participate in a group tour of the State House and the city of Annapolis.
Chamber members who attend special events such as this, frequently seek out business card printing to use for self promotion.
Legislative Day will be held January 21, 2025, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Maryland State House. Further information and registration is available online on the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce website. Chamber members are offered a reduced registration fee.
