Judges will slice into an array of tasty treats in the 2015 Crofton Pie Bake-Off next month.
The baking competition will be hosted by the Crofton Farmers Market, the local Kiwanis Club and the Crofton Civic Association. Similar groups often turn to Print shops to create required printed materials for special events such as this.
The baking competition will see prizes awarded for the best pies in several categories. Bakers of the top fruit pie, best cream pie and best savory pie will receive engraved silver pie servers as well as Gift Certificates. Plus, the top pie overall will be honored with a special trophy.
The baking contest is a fundraiser for the Crofton Christian Caring Council’s Baby Pantry. The program provides much-needed items such as diapers, bedding, formula and food to Anne Arundel County parents who require this type of assistance. All money raised will go to the pantry.
Once the pies have been judged, slices will be on sale for a $5 donation in support of the charity. Alternatively, those who donate baby items to the cause can enjoy a piece of fresh pie.
The Bake-Off will be held on July 19, 2025 from 10 am to noon at the Crofton Library as part of the Crofton Farmers Market. Judging will take place at 10:30 am. If there is a rain out, the event will be rescheduled to July 26th.
