Crofton asked to give gift of life

Making a difference in someone's life can be as easy as rolling up a sleeve and making a contribution during an upcoming Crofton blood drive.

The Crofton Community Meeting Room will be the venue for a blood drive hosted and administered by the American Red Cross. Its listing explained that each donor may help up to three people, and there is always a demand.

Those who are from ages 17 to 75 and are in good health are welcome to participate, and while both walk-ins and appointments may be accommodated, the organizers have requested that those who are interested are best off booking a timeslot.

The entire process from check-in and registration to the donation, before resting with a light snack before heading out for the rest of the day, is usually over quickly. Anyone who would like to reserve a time is asked to call 1.800.733.2767.

Blood drives give the public an opportunity to make a difference and maybe even save a life. A poster printing company can create materials to help promote an activity, explaining why it is important and how people can help.

The American Red Cross will be hosting this blood contribution drive on Friday, October 7. Appointments can be booked by the public from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Crofton Library.
