A flower-focused event is coming to Crofton next month.
The Crofton Village Garden Club will soon be playing host to the 60s Flower Power event, which aims to combine nostalgia with horticulture.
The Crofton Community Library will be the venue for this floral event. There will be more than 200 horticulture exhibits on display. Additionally, the library will be the temporary home to 24 flower design exhibits. Children can enjoy the 12 youth exhibits and educational stalls.
While flowers are the focus of the event, the host hopes to recreate a 1960’s theme. Attendees are encouraged to wear bell bottoms or any other clothing that fits with the nostalgic vibe.
This unique event celebrates the Crofton Village Garden Club. The club is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Since 1969, the organization has been hosting activities surrounding horticulture, floral design, and conservation in the Crofton area.
Crofton Village Garden Club is a non-profit organization. Club members share their horticulture experience and learn new skills. Since its inception, the club has focused on creating a strong community of plant lovers. It’s been heavily involved in community development, including replacing sick cherry trees on Crofton Parkway, leading horticulture therapy at a healthcare facility, and making floral bouquets for patients at the hospital.
During this event, attendees can learn more about the club. Organizers of this event often work with Print shops to create materials.
The 60’s Flower Power event will take place on May 21st from 2pm to 6pm at Crofton Community Library.Get a Free Quote for Print
