Pastels workshop to be held in Malden
A session of Art Classes@The Brewery: Pastel Art will be coming to Malden later this month.
Led by Naomi Kahn, this will be a creative class where attendees will be able to explore the world of pastels. This workshop is ideal for those who are looking to try a new medium, as well as for seasoned artists. This class focuses on pastels as they offer a range of vivid colors that can be easily blended to create dynamic effects and are easy to use, as there is no need for brushes or water to clean up afterwards.
During the class, attendees will work on either wall art or greeting cards and work with paper that is black and white to see how different backgrounds interact with the pastels. Kahn will provide expert tips and photographs to inspire attendees to take advantage of this versatile medium. A complimentary beverage will be provided. Attendees will take away with them a new skill in addition to a unique piece of artwork.
Such classes are often promoted throughout a city and surrounding communities with poster printing.
The session will be held at Idle Hands Craft Ales on Commercial Street in Malden on Tuesday July 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost of the class is $35 and includes the cost of materials.
