What's Happening in Malden, MA…

Open house celebrated for MVES expansion

Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) recently announced that it has expanded to a new location in Malden, adjacent to the Dockside Riverview, to accommodate its new clients and programs.

In addition to its existing Commercial Street location, this new facility, which is 3,000 square feet in size, will provide more space for its administrative operations. Most likely, the organization is turning to a variety of printing services to inform the community of this additional location, which will enable it to continue its delivery of resources and services.

Mayor Gary Christenson recently attended an open house for the facility, which will be the home for 18 employees in newly decorated offices. He applauded the organization for its expansion and thanked Dan O’Leary, the executive director, for his leadership of MVES and the services it provides for the community.

Mystic Valley Elder Services was founded in 1974 as a non-profit agency to work with adults living with disabilities, people over the age of 60, and caregivers in Malden and the surrounding communities. The group helps them find what they need in everyday life by connecting them with needed healthcare professionals and providers of homecare. More than 10,000 individuals are served every year by MVES, the goal of which is to promote independent and safe living for the elderly and adults with disabilities.
