New type of rock-climbing place to open in Malden
Malden will soon be home to a new rock-climbing facility.
Rock Spot Climbing, a chain of climbing centers based in Rhode Island, will be opening its location in Massachusetts in the center of Malden. This location will cover 5,705 square feet and will focus on bouldering, which is a type of rock-climbing performed without ropes. A fully padded flooring system will surround climbing walls 15 feet high. Such facilities might consider using promotional products to publicize their opening in town, as well as their special offerings.
Co-owner of Rock Spot Climbing, Nadav Minkin, expressed his thrill in opening this location in Malden, which will be directly across from the Malden Center Station. Minkin added that the accessible climbing offered by the brand is attractive to people of all abilities and ages, and is enjoyed by friends and family.
This type of rock climbing debuted in 2020. The location in Malden will the second gym of Rock Spot that features bouldering.
Larry Norin, co-owner of Rock Spot Climbing, said that their business has grown tremendously since the sport was introduced two years ago, as more people are looking for experiences and activities they can share together.
Rock Spot Climbing was founded 25 years ago and has one location in Connecticut, three in Rhode Island, and two in Massachusetts.
