Malden gallery to host artistic events and activities
The Gallery@57 on Pleasant Street in Malden will be holding several events later this month and next month.
Such events are often advertised throughout the community with poster printing.
Poetry, Art, and Music will feature the Garage Poets of Anna Geoffroy and Jeff Taylor with bass guitar player Ethan Mackler, together who will perform a unique blend of poetry, music, and art. The Garage Poets came to fruition over the past two years in a dilapidated garage, starting with an open mic format and now offer an incredible experience for their guests. This event will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 23.
Artists@Work will feature artist Grace Julian Murthy who will teach children from the age of five years old and up how to make a paper butterfly. All children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This event will run from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 7.
Another Artists@Work will feature Francys Luis-Ravelo, an artist from Venezuela, who will demonstrate the art of surrealist painting. Her discussion will focus on her passion and the method of her work. This event will run from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 21.
The Artists@Work events are sponsored by The Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Malden Cultural Council, and The Gallery@57.
