What's Happening in Malden, MA…

Malden becomes hub of activity for fundraising events

Several events are coming to Malden in the upcoming days and weeks, and print companies will no doubt be used to let those in the community be informed and make plans to attend them.

At the Malden Public Library this weekend, there will be the Friends of the Malden Public Library book and bake sale, which is held every year. Baked goods, movies, music, and books will be available for purchase, with more than 40,000 books offered on all subjects. Paperbacks will be $0.50 each, hardcovers go for $1.00 each, and children’s books for $0.25 each or five for $1.00. The event will be taking place on Saturday October 25 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and Sunday October 26 from noon until 3:00 pm.

A fundraising Oktoberfest Gala will be held by the Tri-City Community Action Program Ins. at the Irish American Club in Malden on October 29. There will be a German-style buffet with alternative vegetarian choices and beer tastings. The program begins at 6:00 pm with featured speakers Christine Falzarano from Eagle Bank and Deborah Leonczyk, who represents Berkshire Community Action Council.

The Tri-City Community Action Program endeavors to support those in need and build strength in the local community so that basic needs are met and people are able to achieve their full potential.
