The Fall River Public Library will be holding several events and activities this month.
Poster printing is often used to inform the community about such activities and events, and to offer more details about dates, times, and locations.
Thursday afternoons are when Yarn Crafting for a Cause takes place. Thise who like to crochet or knit meet in the Fell Room to create scarves, hats, and mittens, which are then donated to charities in the area and to homeless shelters. The library supplies all yarn and attendees are asked to bring their own needles and patterns. This activity is at the Main Library on North Main Street from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
Pre-school Storytime offers a fun morning of stories. In addition to 30 minutes of stories from a wide range of children’s Books, there are also songs, puppets, and other activities, ending with a craft that is easy to make. This introduction to children’s literature takes place every Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 am at the Main Library.
Readers in the middle grades who are from 8 to 12 years old are invited to join the monthly book club. Each month, a popular book is selected from either non-fiction and fiction. This month’s book is “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien. This monthly event takes place on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. at the Main Library.
