Fall River college to celebrate MLK

Bristol Community College in Fall River will be holding its Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast for the 26th year later this month.

The Commonwealth College Center is the location for the event, which will include a full breakfast buffet. There will also be a keynote address and community organizations hosting resource tables. This is an ideal opportunity for brochure printing and other printing services to provide more details on such resources that attendees can take away with them.

A portrait of Captain Thomas J. Hudner, Jr. will be unveiled at the event. Hudner was a native of Fall River and a recipient of the Medal of Honor during the Korean War. It will be permanently displayed at the college.

Dean of the University of Rhode Island (URI) College of Business, Dr. Sean Edmund Rogers, will deliver the keynote address. A combat veteran of the United State Army and current Air Force Reserve healthcare administration officer, Rogers held prior faculty roles at Cornell, New Mexico State, and University of New Mexico. An expert in human resource management and leadership, he has authored over 30 articles and two Books, delivered over 80 keynote addresses and workshops, and consults for executives and nonprofits.

The breakfast will be on Monday, January 19 beginning at 8:30 am, and is free to attend.
