Fall River to hold two nature walks

The Trustees and the city of Fall River are partnering this month to host two family-friendly nature walks as part of the Trustees Mobile Adventurer program.

Introducing families to the nature trails within the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve, this outdoor experience is designed to offer an ideal opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the scenery, fresh air, and engage in educational activities close to home.

The first walk will be on the Tattapanum Trail. This is a gentle trail that is a loop that features ponds and woodlands. Educators from the Trustees will guide participants through interactive and fun nature activities and help both adults and children connect with the natural world.

The second walk is of the Copicut Woods. The ecological richness of these woods will be highlighted with this walk. The woods are considered to be a gateway to the Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve. There will be native wildlife habitats, forested trails, and historic farmstead sites.

Both events are sponsored by Audi and Volkswagen of Fall River. Such events can benefit from poster printing to promote them and their focus on being family friendly throughout a city and neighboring communities.

The first walk will be this Saturday September 20, while the second will be on Saturday September 27. Both walks will have two sessions, one at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 10:30 a.m.
