“A Legacy of Service: From Generation to Generation” will be the theme of the parade this year. Honoring the men and women who served throughout the history of the country, the theme highlights the importance of preserving their legacy through continued remembrance, respect, and community commitment.
Talos Farris, Director of Veterans Services for Fall River said:
“Veterans Day should be a day when our veterans can look around their community and see that their service is remembered and appreciated. We want our veteran organizations, businesses, schools, community groups, and residents to be part of that message. . . They should know that Fall River stands with its veterans.”
Veterans who are unable to complete the parade route on foot are still invited to participate. Organizers and participating groups are encouraged to provide transportation or vehicle accommodations so that veterans who are older and those with mobility challenges can be included in the event.
Flyer printing offers a convenient way to distribute details about such parades, participation guidelines, and step-by-step instructions for completing registration.
The parade will take place on Wednesday November 11. There will be a pre-parade ceremony at 1:00 p.m. with the parade beginning at 1:30 p.m.
