Mattress company to move to new location in Fall River

US Bedding will be moving from its current location in Fall River to what was once the building for Sam’s Club in Crossroads 24. This commercial plaza has a MacDonald’s restaurant and a Walmart superstore, and sits between Jefferson Street and Brayton Avenue.

Nguyen said that moving into the single story structure, which spans 140,000 square feet, will enable him to increase the manufacturing of mattresses by three times the current amount and increase efficiency. The new building also has 10 loading bays as opposed to one loading dock, and no parking available in front for large truck deliveries.

The new building also has wide-open interior space that can be divided into sections for additional flexibility of use. There will also be a showroom in the new building so that clients can try out the mattresses and customize their new mattress.

There are currently 36 full- and part-time employees who assemble 300 mattresses a day. Nguyen plans to increase that number to 1,000 with the increased demand from furniture store and mattress retailers, nursing homes, colleges, and hotels. He also plans to hire as many as 100 more people. Such new facilities also often require the hiring of Stationery printers for the creation of new Letterheads and other corporate materials.

US Bedding should be operational in its new location by the end of March.
