The Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River will be hosting several concerts later this month.
Scheduled for performances on two nights, Colby James, an accomplished songwriter and singer, is known as one of the hardest-working and talented guitarists in the area. James became interested in the guitar at an early age and set out to quickly sharpen his skills and develop his own vocal style. James and his band The Ramblers will be on stage on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12.
Also this month, John Scofield will be playing solo guitar. He has won the Grammy award three times, has more than 40 recordings to his credit, and is known as one of the principal innovators of modern jazz guitar. His unique style sees him take on acoustic chamber jazz, organ jazz, blues, and electronically tinged groove music, all with equal enthusiasm and ease. His show will be Friday, June 18.
The Honey Island Swamp Band will be performing their blend of the music of the streets of New Orleans with the sounds of Haight-Asbury in San Francisco. Tagged as “Bayou Americana,” the band will be performing on Friday June 25.
All shows will begin at 8:00 pm, with doors opening at 7:00 pm. Performers at events like these often make their merchandise and Promotional Products available.
