Historical home in Fall River undergoes renovations

The new ownership of the Lizzie Borden House Bed and Breakfast in Fall River has undertaken several renovations and restorations to upgrade the iconic home.

Owner of the house and president of US Ghost Adventures, Lance Zaal, said that he felt it his responsibility to preserve the historical integrity of the house and protect its historical accounts. He added that his goal is to enable guests to enjoy its rich and historically accurate experience.

Such historical sites can turn to flyer printing services to outline their renovations and features to new visitors.

Among the renovations taking place are improving the house’s foundation, replacing rotting doors and window frames, and eliminating asbestos from the basement. Furniture has been replaced and repaired, the heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) system has also been replaced, and a Victorian lamppost just outside the home has been replanted. Protective display cases and lights to showcase the artifacts of the house have also been added.

Close to 30 years’ worth of visitor accounts have been transcribed with various encounters in a virtual library. Zaal said there are plans to make additional changes to the house to improve the experience of the guests. He said that all the improvements and restorations will be completed this year but that he and his team will be continually dedicated to protecting a piece of history in America.
