The Citizens for Citizens (CFC) food pantry in Fall River now has a new home on Eastern Avenue.
The new location occupies what was once Potter’s Printing. The new space spans 7,000 square feet as compared with the previous space on Griffin Street which was 1,700 square feet. Chrystal Arpa, Director of Community Resources at CFC, said that this added space will enable CFC to take in more food and to be able to collaborate with other pantries in the area for storage for food and other needs.
The new space will also enable clients to walk through the building and pick up what they need. There will also be tables with Bags of food made ahead of time for easy access and for clients’ choice on select items. This will enable people to select what they want and not bring home food they do not need, Arpa added, as the CFC typically serves 600 to 700 families a month.
More frozen foods will be offered as well as more fruits and vegetables and staples. More household products and personal care items will also be available at the food pantry. Such organizations often turn to local Print shops to Print Flyers and other materials to promote their services to those who need them.
Pantry hours are 8:30 to noon Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Bags Get a Free Quote for Print
