Fall River logo redesign contest opened to residents

The city of Fall River is looking for ideas from residents as it plans to update the Logo Design for the city.

The contest for the new logo is open to the public and not limited to those who are artists or professional graphic designers. The city will accept both digital and traditional Forms of media such as markers, Pens, and pencils.

Basic requirements for the new logo are that it incorporates the history and unique character of the city and that it be sufficiently simple so that it can translated into different media such as black and white on paper, embroidery, Banners, and digital platforms.

Those who wish to enter the contest can submit up to three entries and must complete an entry form for each one. All designs must be original and although traditional media is accepted, they must submitted in .jpg or .png format.

Mayor Paul Coogan said the new Logo Design is part of a project to redesign the city’s official website, and is integral to the effort to modernize the city of Fall River, invest in its ongoing tourism and economic development, and improve the services provided for residents.

The winner of this contest will be awarded a prize of $500 and recognized at an announcement ceremony. The contest will be open until Friday, September 30 at 5:00 pm.
