Take 5 Off 195 is currently underway in Fall River. This is a campaign aimed at tourists to spend some time in Fall River on their way to Cape Cod as they are travelling on Interstate 195.
The campaign is promoting Fall River as an attractive and affordable stop for resting, where travelers can “take 5” to relax, refuel, and recharge and spend a few hours before they head down to the Cape. Features of the campaign include curated travel itineraries that combine interests such as history or food with offerings and attractions in the city. Featured are restaurants, travel destinations and small businesses. There are also videos to go along with the itineraries. With the availability of such videos on the web, they can be highlighted with flyer printing and other Promotional Products.
Executive Director of Viva Fall River, Patti Rego, said that the goal is to get people to spend some time in Fall River, as well some of their money for their vacation in the city. She added that the hope is that people will see how appealing the city is and decide that their next stop will be even longer.
The Southeastern Massachusetts Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism are funding the campaign.
The campaign will continue through Labor Day.
