Fall River healthcare system earns major award

Plant-A Insights Group and Newsweek have recognized Southcoast Health as one of the Greatest Workplaces in America for 2025 for the second year in a row.

Southcoast Health is a non-profit community health system that services Fall River, Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Wareham. It is the only organization out of six recognized in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that earned a rating of five stars.

News of such recognitions is often made known throughout a region with flyer printing.

Companies are chosen by Plant-A Insights Group and Newsweek through a comprehensive assessment that includes publicly accessible data, company review, employee interviews, and over 120 key performance indicators. Experience and insights on working conditions, corporate culture, and other factors are also provided by respondents.

President and Chief Executive Officer for Southcoast Health, David O. McCready, said this recognition highlights the commitment and dedication of the healthcare system to delivering a supportive, collaborative, and welcoming environment for everyone. He expressed his gratitude to those in his organization who are constantly working to enhance teamwork and a positive culture which enables the system to provide high-quality clinical care to the community and patients.

Editor-in-Chief at Newsweek, Jennifer Cunningham, said there are higher levels of employee engagement in companies that build a strong workplace environment, which in turn produces a range of benefits for both the employees and the people they serve.
