Heritage State Park in Fall River will be holding several events for every member of the family this month.

The Visitor’s Center will have a multimedia event commemorating the early history of the Pocasset Wampanoag, featuring a diorama from the 17th Century of a Wampanoag village along the Quequechan waterfall. In the Community Gallery, there will also be an exhibit of photographs depicting contemporary Native American life in the area. These will run until Monday, May 30.
Textile artist Rhonda Fazio will be holding an interactive workshop where attendees will craft a versatile wearable art item. Fazio will engage people with storytelling of the history of the textile industry in the region and worldwide. This workshop be held from 12:30 to 3:30 pm this Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8.
Local historian Dave Jennings will be presenting a talk on native American artifacts in the Community Gallery at the Visitor Center on Sunday, May 15 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A Battleship Cove Swing Dance will be held in the lobby of the Visitor Center with music from the Compaq Big Band in celebration of Battleship Massachusetts’ 80th anniversary. Tickets are $40 per person and will be from 6:00 to 11:00 pm on Saturday, May 14.
