Ground has officially been broken for the new facility of Millstone Medical Outsourcing in Fall River.
The company is undergoing an expansion of its Massachusetts headquarters with a new building that will be 56,385 square feet in size. Production space will occupy 124,367 square feet at the location and have space for its medical device Packaging and cleanroom operations that will be 15,000 square feet in size and be 10,000/ISO7-rated.
The expansion will add 6,000 square feet of kitting space, 31,000 square feet of warehouse space, and 4,500 square feet of mechanical inspection space. It is anticipated that not only will this expansion increase the production capacity of the company but add 100 jobs to the area. General Manager of Millstone MA, Tom Williams, said that this new facility will help the company to stay ahead of its planned growth for the future. There will now be a campus feeling with the development of the new building, which will be an important strategy for the company that will help it to attract new people and retain existing team members as the it continues to invest in the local area, Williams added.
