Cold storage company buys land in Fall River industrial park

FreezPak Logistics has recently purchased a lot of 16.3 acres for a development of just over 200,000 square feet in the Campus at Innovation Way Industrial Park in Fall River from VMD Companies. FreezPak Logistics is a national third-party cold-storage company.

FreezPak Logistics is planning to use the space to develop a state-of-the-industry Class A cold storage facility. The project is next to major population centers and highways and is designed to be home to and accommodate a wide range of business uses such as manufacturing, logistics, and cold storage.

Banner printing is often used at such sites to inform residents and the public about such purchases and upcoming projects.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of VMD Companies, Phil Down, said that the Innovation Way and the market in the Southcoast have become a destination for cold storage in the market of Greater Boston. He added that the clear height entitlements and large utility infrastructure also makes the campus ideal for cold storage. Down expressed his thrill about welcoming FreezPak into the park to start its development and said he is also excited about what will be developed in the remainder of the park.

Early 2025 is when FreezPak is expected to break ground. The rest of the campus will see site work and infrastructure construction to also begin early around that same time.
