Beloved eatery reopens in Fall River

Roger's Coney Island Hot Dogs is now open on N. Main Street in Fall River under new management.

News of such openings is often disseminated throughout a city and neighboring communities with flyer printing.

The popular diner was set to close when Kyle Lima and Cliff Ponte, owners of New York Bagel Co., stepped in and purchased the establishment with a promise to open as soon as possible. Ponte said that Roger's Coney Island is part of what makes Fall River and is more than just a restaurant. He added that a place like Roger's Coney Island is based on community and the stories shared.

The restaurant will feature a menu with a revamped Fenway Park theme, in time for the opening day of the Red Sox. The menu includes breakfast items that can be ordered all day, such as the Bullpen Omelet that takes inspiration from Greece; the Mexican-style Walk-off Western with chili, sour cream, and salsa; and the Coney Island. There are also Big Papi pancakes, the “So Good” French toast, and Wally’s Waffles.

Roger’s will also be serving its seafood staples every week, which will include a fish sandwich, fish and chips, shrimp and fish, fried scallops, lobster roll, seafood platter, and seafood stew.

Roger’s is open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, and from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays.
