Crown Point goes on a donut run
An event titled The Donut Dash 10K, 5K, and 2K will be taking place in Crown Point this February. It is being organized by Hometown Happenings.
The Donut Dash presents a unique theme in which participants can run in the comfort of their pajamas. Additionally, an incentive of donuts awaits runners at the finish line.
The registration cost for the Donut Dash varies according to the chosen race, costing $30 for the 10K, $25 for the 5K, and $20 for the non-timed 2K run for children aged 12 and under. The event supports the St. Matthias Food Pantry and encourages participants to contribute by donating nonperishable foods.
Participants are advised to collect their race packets between 6:30 and 7:30 am prior to the event. Recognition will be awarded to the top male and female runners overall, as well as the top three participants in the different age groups.
