As one of its biggest annual events, the city of Crown Point will present its St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 16th annual parade will get underway at dusk and is one of the original nighttime parades of Northwest Indiana.
Lighted floats, emergency vehicles, pipes and drums, entertainers and dignitaries will be among the many entries. Crown Point Mayor David Uran is the parade grand marshall and the winner of the event Logo Design contest will be named the junior grand marshall. Parade watchers can go to the city's website to choose their favorite float with the winner to be announced at the April meeting of city council.
The Irish festivities will also feature afternoon celebrations on the Crown Point courthouse square, prior to the start of the parade. There will be food concessions by local restaurants as well as other retail vendors offering Irish heritage-related items, jewelry, and parade novelties such as glow sticks.
Vendors who set up a booth for community events such as this often use poster printing to attract customers to their products and services.
The Crown Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade and celebrations will be held March 17, 2025, and there is no cost to attend. Vendors will be set up beginning at 3 pm. The parade will go ahead, rain or shine, on South Main Street around the courthouse square.
