The 14th annual Rockopelli Music Festival will be held next month in Crown Point.
Presented by the non-profit organization Rockopelli Inc., the live music concert raises funds to provide Northwest Indiana students with music scholarships.
Since it began, the volunteer-based group has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships as well as financial assistance to other charities. One of its programs, called PelliPlay, has funded music lessons for 12 children who are learning to play a range of different instruments. Both grade school and high school students are part of the program.
Top artists from the area as well as guests from across the country, will be included in this year’s festival lineup. In addition to the musical entertainment, there will be arts and crafts vendors as well as food and beverages available from area restaurants.
Event organizers rely on volunteers, donations, and sponsors to make the concert happen and raise as much as possible for charity. Businesses that back special events such as this often use printing services for their advertising needs.
Live music will fill the air in Crown Point on Saturday, August 23 at Bulldog Park from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets are available on the Rockopelli website for $15 if bought before the day of the event, and the occasion is open to all ages.
