Orland Park residents who are considering a career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) may wish to make plans now to attend a training course that will be taking place in the area.
Oak Lawn’s Advocate Christ Medical Center is now accepting applications from anyone who is interested in registering for its four-month-long course that will train them to become an EMT. Classes will be held twice each month, and prospective students can choose between an evening or day schedule.
According to the event’s listing, the classes are the first step a person needs to take if they wish to become a paramedic. The tuition fee for the training has been set at $1,000 each, which includes the cost of Books and other training materials, TB testing, lab fees, a CPR course, a background check, ID, and also a uniform shirt that is to be worn during clinic rotations. A portion of the tuition will be a deposit that is nonrefundable. A printing services provider in the area will be able to supply printed uniforms, training manuals, and other items for this type of educational event.
The day and evening classes will be held at 5220 W. 105th Street in Oak Lawn, and they will start on January 17 and 18, 2018.
