Orland Park shop to teach a reusable skill

A business is using its Orland Park location for an early March class over two dates, where a popular and useful skill will be shared with attendees.

The lesson will show participants how to craft a bowl out of wood. Woodworking is a discipline that can be used to make a variety of multiple-use objects, as well as art pieces.

The event is being held at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware. An employee of the store will lead students through the entire production, including educating them about the materials, the techniques, and the tools used. The finished bowls can be given as presents or kept at home.

At Rockler, which is both a store and a venue for workshops, buyers can find almost anything needed for woodworking, such as lathes, wood, glue, resin, sanders, drills, and carving tools. There is an online shop, along with several brick-and-mortar locations across the US.

Tickets can be found on Eventbrite. The $175 cost applies to material, instruction, and the time both days will take. The class is to be split into two halves due to the length of time the total project will take. Each session will run during the same time period, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Crafting activities are frequently advertised via flyer printing.

The dates for the event are March 2nd and March 9th, both of which are Saturdays.
