Orland Park event to put minds first

Minds Matter 2024 will be presenting Minds Matter: Making Mental Health a Priority in mid-May.

The event, sponsored by Orland Township Youth and Family Services and Orland Township Supervisor Paul O'Grady, will focus on mental health awareness and help families that are currently or have previously been affected by this issue.

Guests will be treated to live music, food and merchandise vendors, and nonprofit organizations connected with mental health. Attendees may also find resources and talk with experts. They may also light lanterns and participate in a group walk to commemorate their loved ones.

Tickets are available online for $15 and include admission and one tribute lantern. Other lanterns may be purchased for $10 online.

Four sponsorships levels are available. The $50 Tribute level will offer the benefactor's Logo Design printed on the event banner and one lantern. The Bronze $100 one will also add another tribute lantern and logo listing in FOCUS newspaper. The Silver $250 level will include the aforementioned amenities and will add another lantern. The Gold $500 level will add T-Shirts sporting the sponsor's Logo Design, five admission tickets, and an eighth-of-a-page ad in the newspaper.

Minds Matter 2024: Making Mental Health a Priority will take place Thursday, May 16, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Orland Township Building, 14807 South Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park.
