Summer events planned for Orland Park

Summer is approaching, and Orland Park has committed to following through with its entertainment schedule. Several concerts have been scheduled for this summer.

A statement from the village stated that the decision to schedule summer concerts is in line with the White House’s Opening Up America Again’s directive. In the press release, Mayor Keith Pekau stated:

“Although we continue to monitor the current environment and plan accordingly, we also have to plan for a phased reopening of the local economy, getting people back to work, and enjoying all of the great things that Orland Park has to offer.”

Market in the Park is a regular festival in Orland Park which features alcohol and food vendors. Its season will start on 4th June and will be held at Crescent Park. A series of concerts will also be held at Centennial Park West. The series will be opened with a lineup that includes the Ides of March, and Tommy Jones & the Shondells on 18th July.
Poster printing is often used to promote events such as these, as Posters can be displayed easily around town as well as close to the venue in the weeks or even months in the run up.

Pekau also stated that many of the bands had already been booked and it would have been costly to cancel them.
