The Bridge Teen Center in Orland Park is hosting a holiday-themed pajama party next month.
Attendees are encouraged to go wearing the ugliest Christmas-themed clothing they can find, so this is the event where people finally get to wear the Christmas sweaters and flowy pants with red-nosed reindeers printed on that have been sitting at the bottom of their drawers for years. Christmas-themed clothing isn’t mandatory, so the attendees can still rock their favorite onesies and quilts.
Entertainment for the night will include trivia on popular holiday movies, the opportunity to decorate the halls with crafts from the art studio, or create personalized ornaments for their trees at home. The teens will also have the opportunity to design and create Christmas cards for their friends and family. Donuts and coffee will be served by Dunkin’ Donuts so that they have warm drinks and warm bellies while celebrating the holiday season.
Food and drink brought in from the outside will not be permitted. Attendees do not have to sign up in advance for this Friday Night Event which is one of many that Moraine Valley Community College will be sponsoring throughout the semester. Corporate Gifts and donations such as these go a long way towards supporting community events.
Teens from Grade 7 to 12 are invited for free. They must have active Bridge Memberships which can be obtained by applying online at thebridgecenter.org. The party is scheduled for December 20.
