Orland Park to roll out new parking app

Orland Park drivers will now have a new option when it comes to paying for parking.

A system has been set up

that will allow the public to use their mobile device to pay to park at any of the three Metra lots that can be found in the village. Named “Passport”, it replaces the older app, and comes with upgrades such as a pre-paid wallet and other features, and it is also easier to register to use the application.

According to Mayor Dan McLaughlin, the enhancements have been added as part of the village’s quest to make it as easy as possible for residents to access the services it has to offer. It can be used by commuters, allowing them to quickly and easily buy permits for parking at the train stations. To access the pre-paid wallet option, users will need to make an initial deposit of $25.00. After that, they can add funds in $5.00 increments when they need to do so.

A special offer has been implemented to help launch the new app. People who enter the validation code 60462 will be given a free day of parking. Marketing services can be used to help promote new technology such as this to the public.

Orland Park will completely switch to this new system from the old on July 1st. Further details can be found on the village website.
