Orland Park’s Palos Community Hospital will soon be undergoing a series of upgrades that its officials hope will allow it to continue to provide high quality care to those who make use of its services.
The expansion of the South Campus will make it possible for it to improve its ability to provide cancer, orthopedic, cardiovascular and neurological treatments, and there is also the potential for there to be a retirement center included in the plans. Orland Park’s Mayor, Dan McLaughlin, remarked that he is excited about the proposed changes, and that they will come together to create a health care facility that is unique in the state. He also noted that its setting amid hundreds of acres of picturesque parkland, will make it even more special.
A spokesperson for the hospital explained that there would need to be a lot of cooperation between the village and that those in charge of the project to make sure that it goes ahead as smoothly as possible. He pointed out that this close working relationship would lead to people in the area having access to top quality medical attention. Newsletter printing services can be engaged during all stages of an expansion process such as this to help keep the public up to date with the latest development.
The proposed price tag and start date for the construction are still being hammered out, but it is hoped that this process could be completed by August.
