Officials of the Village of River Forest, two miles from Oak Park, agreed October 12 to work with Tim Hague on his proposed multiuse development, which will be located at Park Avenue and Lake Street.
Hague's idea was chosen over Pine Grove Centrum Partners' concept. He lives in River Forest and now faces a deadline of March 14, 2016, to transform his concept into a plan for a complete project, and create a redevelopment agreement that the trustees can approve. The initial agreement was contingent upon including a specific date for the trustees to see the plans.
The plan Hague presented calls for his company, Keystone Ventures, to build 28 condos in a five-story structure. The building would also have a total of 13,000 square feet on the ground floor to be used by commercial enterprises. Keystone would also build seven townhomes, and provide 125 parking spaces, most of which would be located in a surface parking lot.
If Hague wants to make any significant changes to the project, he would have to discuss them with the village trustees.
The trustees might consider working with a brochure printing company to create a booklet about the village, the new construction, and the opportunities for both commercial and residential spaces becoming available. They could make the booklet available to both commercial and residential realtors in the area.
