The Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce will hold a concert in March that features several hits from past decades.
Rewind the 70s & 80s is a live performance where people can hear covers of numerous popular songs from artists like The Doobie Brothers, Billy Joel, and Whitney Houston. The concert is part of the chamber’s Monday Enrichment program and will be presented by Cabaret & Concerts. The performance will take place at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association and is open to the public. Those who miss the show in person can watch a recording of it on the chamber’s website.
There will be many talented performers at the concert. Attendees can watch performances from Steve Roberts, the co-founder of the band Loud Thoughts and a skilled guitar player. Christine Mild, an actress and singer who studied at Northwestern University, will also be part of the show. Guests will even get to see a performance by Alex Newkirk, a vocal coach, musical director, and piano player from Iowa.
The concert will be on Monday, March 2nd from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm. There is no cost to attend the live performance, and registration isn’t needed. However, people can still donate to the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce during the event.
