The ComedyPlex in Oak Park will organize a comedy festival in October that only features female performers.
The Funny is Female Comedy Festival is an event where people can see live shows that elevate and amplify female voices in the comedy scene. There will be several performances held throughout the event week at venues like the ComedyPlex and the Dragon Lounge at the Sushi House. This year’s lineup of comedians will include performers like Hannah Beck, Liz Stone, and Sara Dirks. There are also multiple hosts, such as Starla Heinz and Evie Cato.
Companies that want to support the comedy festival can become sponsors for the program. The Community Fan Tier for $500 will include perks such as name recognition on the event website and inclusion on the ComedyPlex’s social media shoutout post. The upper sponsorship tiers will feature benefits like logo representation in the event emails, an on-stage thank-you during the show, and naming rights for one of the festival’s workshops. The Presenting Sponsor Tier will cost $5,000 and will feature the business in all paid digital advertising.
The comedy festival will begin on October 23rd. VIP passes to the fest will cost people $75 each, which will include access to every show across all days of the comedy fest.
