Two musicians will give a performance at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association in Oak Park.
Music: Celebrating the Music of Women is a program where people can enjoy a live performance by Sara Su Jones and Tatyana Stepanova. The event is part of the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association’s Monday Enrichment Program. Attendees will get to hear rare musical works that were primarily created by women. Dennis Moore, a host for the station WFMT, will be at the event to discuss these pieces alongside Jones and Stepanova.
Sara Su Jones is a violinist with multiple awards who has performed throughout the world at notable venues such as Ganz Hall, the Glessner House, and the Vienna International Centre. She has also worked with musical groups like the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra. Tatyana Stepanova is a pianist and instructor who has accompanied students from Roosevelt University and Northwestern University. She has also been an accompanist at the Stulberg International String Competition and taught at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory.
The concert will be on Monday, March 10th from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm. There are no ticket fees required to enjoy the live performance, and registration isn’t needed. The show will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Organizations that hold musical activities like this may use brochure printing to make programs to share with audience members.
