A festival organized by the Oak Park Arts District will return to the city in May on Harrison Street.
What’s Blooming on Harrison is a community street festival where people can enjoy several family-friendly activities while browsing local crafts and food vendors. Guests can explore the Vendor Fair with over 120 booths from artists and small businesses. There will also be a full lineup of live performances held at the festival’s music stage. Children can enjoy rides and games at the fest’s Kiddie Carnival, and adults may have alcoholic drinks at the beer garden.
Artists interested in attending the festival can pay $125 to apply to the event and $75 for the booth space. Tables can be rented from the event organizers for $25. Nonprofit groups that wish to exhibit at the fest may pay $100 for their spaces. Business owners who sell food can apply to the fest for $150. There are also several volunteering opportunities at the event, such as preparing Welcome Bags for vendors, mapping out booth spaces with chalk, and delivering rented tables and chairs to their booths.
The community street fair will take place on Saturday, May 31st from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The activities at the event will be offered rain or shine. There is no entry fee to access the Vendor Fair or the live performances, though tickets must be purchased to ride the attractions at the Kiddie Carnival.
