Rumor has it that the Jolly Old Elf himself will visit Oak Park to get the holidays off to a great start.
Cheney Mansion will host a “Treats with Santa” event, encouraging people to get on the “Nice” list before it's too late. Santa will be distributing pre-packaged treats to visitors before he starts his annual trip, bringing presents to children around the world. People coming to meet Santa should bring their cameras as well as their wish lists, and plan to take photos with the man himself.
In order to keep everyone safe, a mesh screen has been added to the inside of Santa's beard, which will serve as an effective mask, meaning parents can rest assured he will observe health protocols. He will also be reading stories to visitors. The event is suitable for people of all ages.
Charles E. White designed the Cheney Mansion in 1913, in the style of an English country house. The home, which has 12,000 square feet of space, is now owned and operated by the village's Park District. The Mansion has reception rooms, seven baths, six bedrooms, and separate quarters for servants. It sits on 2.2 acres of ground.
“Treats with Santa” is scheduled for December 16, 2020, from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm. The Cheney Mansion is on North Euclid Avenue. Banner printing can be used to provide large-scale decorations for events like this.
