Dave Odd, an experienced forager, will be holding a course in July at Carnivore Oak Park.
Those interested in improving their urban foraging skills can attend a workshop offered by Odd Produce. The lesson will teach students about over 50 types of consumable plants and mushrooms. Brad Knaub and Erik Williams will prepare a meal using foraged mushrooms. Participants have a choice between attending the tour, meal, or both activities. Companies in charge of educational treks like this may promote their programs with poster printing.
Odd Produce is an organization that provides nearby eateries with locally sourced items such as mushrooms, herbs, vegetables, and edible flowers. The Eat the Neighborhood Foraging Tour will be held on Sunday, July 24 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The cost to only go on the tour is $40, and the price of just eating the prepared food at the event is $25. The full experience is available for $65 per customer.
