The Learning Technology Center will be holding a course in Oak Park on a new cloud-based workstation.
Bringing Creativity to Life: Integrating Soundtrap in the Classroom is a lesson where teachers can learn how to set up and integrate a new program into their curriculums. Soundtrap is a workstation students can use to create their own podcasts and music. Those who participate in the class can tour Oak Park River Forest High School’s makerspace to see how other instructors utilize the program. The workshop will show attendees how Soundtrap can inspire creativity in students and empower them to express themselves.
The instructor for the course is Ben Sondgeroth, the Lead Regional Educational Technology Coordinator for the Learning Technology Center. He teaches people about several topics, such as using drones to improve classroom experiences, safely growing up in the digital age, and social media influence. Sondgeroth works with many counties, including Henry, Stark, and La Salle. He also went to the University of Illinois and the University of Indianapolis.
The workshop will be held on Friday, June 16 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no cost for people to attend Sondgeroth’s presentation, though guests should register for the class. People who host informative events similar to this may use poster printing to make advertisements that attract more participants to their programs.
